Yijia is a landscape designer who graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Design with a background in architecture. Brought up in a city famous for its central lake cultural landscape, she witnessed how the transformation of what were separated and introverted parks into one connected free park brought activity and happiness to the public. Her project work includes collaborations with Auburn University, Georgetown University, Michigan State University, New England Development, Renmin University of China, Slippery Rock University, and the University of Virginia. Yijia believes strongly in the importance of landscape for the public realm. She embraces the idea of connecting landscapes to people and follows her passion for carefully crafted topography, delicately selected materials, and polished details. To do this, her explorations have ranged from architecture to landscape architecture, from China to Scandinavia and the United States.
