university system of georgia strategic capital plan

We have enjoyed a long relationship with the University System of Georgia. Our team members have completed planning work for thirteen institutions, and have had the good fortune to collaborate on two important system-wide studies.

During the strategic capital plan, we helped six institutions draft capital implementation programs. The programs combined strategic, academic, and financial factors to formulate capital requests that focused on need and return on investment. Our analysis included program objectives, opportunities for prioritizing renovation over new construction, historic preservation concerns, available funding strategies, budget constraints, academic goals, and difficult prioritization exercises. After working with the individual campuses, we were invited to help the system office synthesize and evaluate the individual requests. This required us to develop technology to integrate every submission. Requests were prioritized according to system goals, funding opportunities, unit costs, project scope, and regional factors. Our work resulted in the formulation of a six-year capital plan.
