We envisioned a regeneration of the historic pier district of this island community. The idea puts forth a bold strategy of reinvestment in the waterfront that will create public access as well as distinct address and value. Program uses include a composition of water related commercial, restaurant, and waterfront residential lofts above. This resurrects historic patterns in the district and matches existing town density. It is also a strategy that puts private sector and public sector entities in a rare collaborative relationship to enhance island life, town revenues, and development interests.
